Lola Cep is a native New Yorker drama queen, torn from her beautiful city into the suburbs of New Jersey with her mom and twin sisters. Lola's real name is Mary Elizabeth but when she moves she sees it as the perfect opportunity to start over and become the resident drama queen. Unfortunately, that position has already been filled by Carla Santini. Lola's problems throughout the book and movie include trying to survive in the boring little town of Dellwood(Deadwood), getting the lead part in the school play and basically overcoming the almighty ring leader, Carla Santini.
